Location and Lighting
This is Tewkesbury Abbey School, it is an old derelict building which has a variety of different rooms in which we can film in, the majority of which are included in this short slideshow below.
They are very effective rooms to use in our Horror as it looks very scary with the peeling off wallpaper and it has an abandoned feel to it which will add suspense and tension in our Horror Movie scenes. L.B did the slideshow

This top picture on the left hand side is of Tewkesbury Abbey School's old main entrance. This is from the inside of the building and just from the picture you can see the connotations of horror such as peeling wallpaper, dark, shadowy parts to create mystery and a dirty floor that suggests that it has been derelict for years.
The bottom pictures on the left hand side are shots from our final piece and are examples of where we used this specific corridor/room in our trailer. These are just a couple of examples from our trailer where we used the aforementioned location. We have made sure that when we filmed it was quite dark as horror films are nearly always dark as this is the time when bad things normally happen and people are scared. Being scared of the dark is a very common phobia and therefore we like to play on this using our lighting effectively. AT |
This top picture on the right hand side is of one of the main corridors in the Tewkesbury Abbey School and we have also used this location to film part of our horror trailer. It looks very effective as a scary place as its uneasy to look at due to its claustrophobic sides with a very tall ceiling above.

This is a short video of a derelict underground building that we found near to where we live. We ultimately only ended up using this location a few times in our trailer but it was a great place to find and would possibly be useful for more shots for other movies. AT
